How are you all doing? How did this last week go for you? I hope you all are doing great and that you continue to enjoy the year 2018! This past week was, not going to lie, very normal, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't spectacular :) We knocked quite a few doors, met with lots of our investigators, and had some good fun along the way, so I'm not complaining at all :) With our investigators/converts, we were focusing on Brayan, the Limón Family, and Nayeli, just to name a few. Brayan is a really good investigator that we have had for just over a month now, and yesterday, he went to church for the third time, completing the requirement of church attendance and looks forward to being baptized this week. Brayan is amazing and we have absolutely LOVED teaching him :) High hopes for this Saturday for Brayan. With the Limón Family, they had their baptismal date set for this Saturday as well, but due to a couple of issues that surfaced this past week, we will have to extend their baptismal date. We're not worried because they are just amazing, but we are a little sad that the baptism was pushed back. We're going to keep working with them and keep hoping for the baptism to take place :) Finally, Nayeli. I just can't say enough about Nayeli. Right now, she is reading the Book of Mormon (almost through Mosiah), going to every ward activity (including New Beginnings and a Ward Camp activity that happened this week), and, this past Sunday, bore her testimony in church for the first time, and I want to talk about that for just a minute for today's thought. Yesterday, they invited a couple of the youth that went to the camp to share their testimonies as part of Sacrament meeting, and Nayeli was one that they chose. To see an investigator/convert that I literally saw from the first contact all the way through baptism and continued attendance bear their testimony is something that I really can't put into words. Hearing her say (in Spanish of course ;) that she knows the church is true and that the church has already been such an amazing change in her life brought me so much joy. I have to admit, I almost cried. No judging ;) I, as a missionary , have this amazing opportunity to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lives of those here in Bolivia, and as such, I get the amazing opportunity to see the change that I know this Gospel can bring. Yes, the mission brings lots of hardship and lots of struggles, but it is SO WORTH IT when you see someone you have taught and loved change with entrance of the truth. Now, for all of you, I have an invitation. Many of you are at an age where a mission is either possible or soon will be. Now, if you even have a sliver of a thought of serving a mission, I would invite you to consider it a little bit more. For those of you who want to serve: Great! You'll love it! Don't lose that desire. For those of you who are not sure: Pray about it and ask with all the sincerity you can muster if serving a mission is what is right for you. For those of you who don't feel interested in serving a mission right now: Become interested! Think about it and follow the same advice as the people that are not sure. The mission brings so much joy and so much happiness and I am inviting/challenging you to consider serving now. I get to taste of this joy now, and I know that all of you can feel it too, now go and ask your Father in Heaven if it is what you should do. I love you all and I want to thank you for your continued support and love! This is the last week of this transfer, and almost everyone is telling me that I will be leaving Avaroa. I sure hope not, but it is a strong possibility, but, like me, you'll have to wait until next week to find out! I love you all and thank you again for all that you do for me! As always, if you have any questions about my doings here, don't be afraid to ask! I hope you all have an amazing week!
Elder Wynn
